  • Resumen
    • Collaborative student−faculty research is one of the proven engaged forms of learning that can transform the educational experiences of undergraduates and enhance their learning. With the support of two recent grants awarded by the National Science Foundation, the Council on Undergraduate Research intends to address the critical national need for continued and more comprehensive dissemination of effective practices for initiating and sustaining undergraduate faculty−student collaborative research. One project, funded by the Course, Curriculum, and Laboratory Improvement (CCLI) Phase II program, will focus on the unique challenges of the community college environment. The second initiative, with support from a CCLI Phase III award, will use a comprehensive and collaborative approach to address the undergraduate research challenges facing faculty and administrators at colleges and universities drawn from state systems, private consortia, and mission-similar institutions.
