In the study of amphorae, the difficulty to establish a connection between their typological classification and economic data is often forgotten, although they are solid evidence of the past. Our aim in this article is to go forward in the chrono-typological descriptions based on the amphorae records in the archaeological site of Son Fornés, in order to understand the dynamics of wine distribution and consumption, from the introduction of the product to the abandonment of the site. This represents a section of our PhD research, which reviews and extends previous studies on amphorae data from the 20th century excavations.
