As Forças Armadas na mira do Serviço Secreto do DOPS-SP: golpe e contragolpe (1955-1956)

    O presente artigo tem como objetivo refletir a tensa conjuntura eleitoral de 1955, no interior das Forças Armadas através dos documentos do Serviço Secreto da Delegacia de Ordem Política e Social de São Paulo (DOPS-SP) e do Arquivo pessoal do deputado Augusto do Amaral Peixoto localizado no CPDOC.A vigilância sobre as facções militares neste período (1955-1956) revelava a fragilidade da distensão política impetrada pela constituição de 1946, onde o debate que ocorria na sociedade civil sobre as liberdades democráticas, assim como as reações ao cerceamento à liberdade de organização e expressão, configuravam um quadro institucional que, na visão dos militares, era caótico. Nesta perspectiva, o Serviço Secreto acompanhava de perto esta polêmica em torno da intervenção militar ou da legalidade constitucional defendida por estes grupos militares, aglutinados com os segmentos que detém o poder político e econômico e que vêem o permanente modelo de desenvolvimento do país correr riscos se, se ampliam os espaços rumo a uma democratização efetiva, mesmo a de teor liberal.

    This  article  aims  to  reflect  the  tense  electoral cycle 1955, inside the armed forces through the documents of the Secret Service of the Delegacia de Ordem Política e Social de São Paulo   (DOPS-SP)  and  the  Personal  File  of  delegate Augusto do Amaral Peixoto located in CPDOC.  The vigilance of military factions during this period (1955-1956) revealed the fragility of political détente brought by the 1946 constitution,  where  the  debate  taking  place  in  civil  society  on  democratic  freedoms,  as  well as the reactions to restriction on freedom of expression and organization, set up an institutional  framework  in  view  of  the military,  was  chaotic.  This  perspective,  the  Secret Service would closely  follow  this  debate over the military or the constitutional legality held by  these  military  groups , brought  together with  the  threads  that  holds  the  political  and economic power and they see the continued development model the country is  at risk, to expand the spaces towards real democratization, even the liberal content.
