  • This paper demonstrates how the traditional two verbal laws of electrolysis associated with Michael Faraday may be combined into a single equation or law more in keeping with Faraday’s original intentions, and also emphasizes that the resulting equation is kinetic, rather than thermodynamic, in nature and is equally applicable to working voltaic cells.
