Valorización del balance de N y P de la soja en Uruguay

    En Uruguay el cultivo de soja (Glycine max) pasó de 10. 000 a 865. 000 hectáreas de la zafra 2002/03 a la 2009/10. Entre las transformaciones que provocó destaca el aumento en la presión sobre el suelo, asociada al incremento de los sistemas de agricultura continua con alta frecuencia de soja en la rotación. Estos sistemas tienden a afectar negativamente la fertilidad del suelo entre otros motivos por el desbalance nutricional que provocan. Por este motivo este trabajo se propone dos objetivos: 1) analizar el balance aparente de Nitrógeno (N) y Fósforo (P) en el cultivo de soja de la zafra 2005/06 a la zafra 2009/10; y 2) aproximarse a una valorización económica del balance de nutrientes. El balance aparente de nutrientes arroja déficit tanto para P y N. El déficit total de N varía entre 32. 219 y 101. 430 toneladas por zafra, con un costo reposición estimado que va de US.

    In Uruguay soybean (Glycine max) grew from 10. 000 to 865. 000 hectares between the 2002/03 and 2009/10 harvest. One of the main transformations caused was the increased pressure on soil, associated to the increasing advance of continuous cropping with high presence of soybean in the rotation. These systems tend to affect negatively the soil fertility because of the nutritional unbalance among other reasons. The aim of this paper are two: 1) analyze the apparent balance of Nitrogen (N) and Phosphorus (P) in soybean crop between the 2005/06 and the 2009/10 harvest; and 2) have an approximation to the economic value of the nutritional balance. The nutritional balance was negative for N and P. N presents a deficit that moves between 31. 400 and 96. 300 tonnes for each harvest with a reinstatement cost that fluctuate between USD.
