In occasion of the recent Spanish publication of Julien Benda Memories, the author points out the main arguments exposed by the French philosopher. Benda maintained in his works a sustained attack against the romantic philosophy of his time specially the irrationalism defended by Henri Bergson and his disciples. He also accused the French intellectuals, specially those nationalists or communists, of abandoning the search of truth and succumbing to political passions.
