The Catalan doctor Bartomeu Robert had been one of the most important personalities of the medical world in Barcelona during the late XIXth Century. Robert accomplished an important work in order to modernized the medical institutions. At the same time he carried out a lively political activity leading some of the main civic initiatives of his time.
