  • The author studies Collell’s activity, one of the most representative figures of the catholic branch of catalanism, which was developed in Vic during the last part of the 19th century. He points out specially the roll played by the Catalan priest as director of the weekly publication “La Veu del Montserrat”. Moreover, Collell developed also an intense activity , not only in politics but also as a writer, poet and catholic apologist.
