Resumen de Precedents de la biblioteca de l'Ateneu Barcelonès (1800-1860)
An approach to the study of libraries and public reading rooms in Barcelona and Catalonia during the first Nineteenth Century. The author considers the specialized and elitist libraries so as the popular reading rooms system. Some libraries like those of the Barcelona University and the “Reial Academia de Bones Lletres ”are mainly studied.
