‘Abdurrahman al-Baghdádi’s manuscript is the main travel narrative of an Arabian Muslim in Brazil and South America during the nineteenth century, representing a source of literary, historical, geographical, political and religious information about Brazil, Africa, Arabian and Turkish people; it was written in Arabic, Turkish, Persian, Greek, French, Portuguese and Tupi languages in a poetic and elaborated style.
