This article analyzes the novel Respiración artificial , by Argentine novelist Ricardo Piglia. The main aspect is the presence of a multiple discourse, with different text genres and different characters voices speaking at different moments. The analysis is based primarily on the work of Bakhtin, and Huchteon,, aiming to characterize the way polyphony creates the narrative.
