Resumen de Nuevas estelas cristianas en el centro-oeste de la provincia de Burgos

  Este estudio da a conocer 27 estelas inéditas, halladas en el centro-oeste de la provincia de Burgos. Este territorio, constituido básicamente por los antiguos partidos judiciales de Castrojeriz y Villadiego, da unidad al conjunto pues tanto la tipología como la funcionalidad y la cronología de estas piezas son muy diferentes. A pesar de la diversidad, todas ellas fueron labradas por los cristianos entre los siglos XII y XIX, ambos inclusive, para señalizar la existencia de una tumba, para delimitar el circuito de los cementerios medievales, para recordar la muerte accidental de una persona en descampado, para señalizar la existencia de una huesera o bien para jalonar el recorrido de un vía crucis.

  Azterlan honek Burgosko erdi-mendebaldean aurkitutako 27 hilarri ezezagunen berri ematen du. Lurralde horrek, oinarrian Castrojeriz eta Villadiegoko antzinako barruti judizialek eratutakoak, multzoari osotasuna ematen dio, pieza hauen tipologia, funtzionaltasuna eta kronologia oso desberdinak baitira. Dibertsitatea gorabehera, horiek guztiak kristauek landu zituzten XII. mendetik XIX.era bitartean (biak barnean), hilobi baten existentzia adierazteko, Erdi Aroko hilerrien zirkuitua mugatzeko, landa zabalean halabeharrez izandako pertsona baten heriotza gogorarazteko, hezurtegi baten existentzia seinaleztatzeko edota gurutze bide baten ibilbidea apaintzeko.

  This study shows 27 unpublished stelae found in the Center-West of the province of Burgos. This area, formed basically by the ancient judicial districts of Castrojeriz and Villadiego, gives a sort of unity to the set since both the type and functionality and the chronology of these parts are very different. However, despite the diversity, all of which were carved by Christians between the 12th and 19th centuries, both included, to indicate the existence of a tomb, to delimit the circuit of de medieval cemeteries, to remind the accidental death of a person in the open ground, to indicate the existence of an ossuary or to mark the route of a Station of the Cross.
