El conflicte del terme municipal de Santa Pola: últimes aportacions

    L’objectiu d’aquest treball és complementar i revisar una investigació que vam publicar fa alguns anys (La segregació de Santa Pola del terme municipal d’Elx, 2011) amb l’ajuda dels nous materials que tenim ara a l’abast.

    Aquest material l’hem aconseguit a partir de dos fonts: per un costat, la publicació el 2004 d’un epistolari d’Alberto Asencio, que trau a la llum noves dades que ens permeten aclarir alguns punts que anteriorment s’havien quedat sense analitzar i, per un altre, la consulta de les actes municipals de Santa Pola, que abans no vam poder examinar i que ara ens possibiliten conéixer el punt de vista que mantenia l’altre bàndol del conflicte. Al final de la investigació hi havia un capítol en tot el procés històric que es quedava sense concloure i ple d’interrogants i que, per tant, hauríem d’esperar a futures investigacions perquè totes les peces d’aquest puzle històric pogueren encaixar perfectament. Concretament, em referia al buit que teníem de tot el que havia succeït en el període comprés entre els anys 1944 i 1946. Què ocorre en aquests dos anys?

    The aim of this paper is to complement and revise some research that we published a few years ago (The segregation of Santa Pola from the municipal term of Elx, 2011) with the help of new materials that we have now available. We obtained these materials from two sources: on the one hand, the publication in 2004 of the collected letters by Alberto Asencio, which draws to light new data that allow us to clarify some points that had previously been left without analyzing and, secondly, the consultation of the municipal acts of Santa Pola, that we could not examine before and now they allow us to know the point of view of the other side of the conflict. At the end of the research there was a chapter in the whole historical process that was incomplete and full of questions and, therefore, should be left for future researches so all pieces of the historical puzzle could fit perfectly. Specifically, I refer to the empty space in the period between 1944 and 1946. What happens in these two years?
