Convivencia: una utopía historicista para la armonía social. El caso de la consolada en Zacualpan

    En la comunidad de Zacualpan (poblado indígena ubicado al noroeste de la ciudad de Colima, en el municipio de Comala), en el estado mexicano de Colima, la “consolada” es una ceremonia de reconciliación celebrada entre la familia de la novia y la del novio. Esta celebración ocurre cuando los futuros esposos no recibieron la autorización de sus respectivas familias para unirse en matrimonio, y quieren unirse por sus propias voluntades. Este ejercicio de la libertad individual es visto culturalmente como un desequilibrio social, el cual desune a las dos familias involucradas y a toda la comunidad, porque desemboca en lo que se llama el “rapto” de la mujer. Este último acto no es aislado, pero tampoco es aceptado por la comunidad. Por eso, nos preguntamos: ¿Cuál es la base sobre la que descansa la armonía matrimonial en Zacualpan? Para responder a esta pregunta, postulamos que la armonía social y su fortalecimiento dependen de la creación en una sociedad de las formas de convivencia como alternativas de resistencia crítica y propuesta de integración. Refrendar tal hipótesis nos permite identificar la convivencia como fuente de armonía social, proponer la consolada como una alternativa social para la integración familiar y la redimensión comunitaria del matrimonio; y en fin, analizar el carácter utópico de la consolada para la familia. Para lograr lo anterior, será necesario el uso de la observación, la encuesta y las entrevistas como estrategias y técnicas básicas de investigación. Como esta investigación tiene un carácter documental, nos referiremos a algunas fuentes escritas sobre la cultura indígena para aclarar el concepto de consolada en su relación con la utopía, la familia y la convivencia.

    In the community of Zacualpan, in the Mexican state of Colima, the “consolada” is a ceremony of reconciliation celebrated between the families of the fiancés. This celebration takes place when the fiancés have not obtained authorization from their respective families to be joined in matrimony, but the couple still wants to be married by their own desires. This practice of the individual liberty is culturally considered as a social instability that separates each of the fiancés families along with the whole community, because this situation leads to “woman theft”. The woman abduction is not an isolated act, but is not accepted by the community. Consequently, we ask: what is the fundamental part that supports the matrimony harmony in Zacualpan? To answer this question, we postulate that the social harmony and its strengthening depend on the creation, in a society, of the conviviality forms as alternatives for critical resistance and integration proposal. If we confirm this hypothesis, we will be able to identify that the conviviality is the source of social harmony, to propose that the “consolada” is a social alternative for the family integration and the community nature of marriage; finally, we will be able to explain the utopic character of the “consolada” for the family. For getting these goals, we will use observation, survey and the interviews as the fundamental strategies and technics. Because this research has a documental character, we will select and use bibliography about indigenous culture to clarify the “consolada” concept in its connection with the utopia, the family and the conviviality.
