    Partiendo de la importancia de las corrientes historiográficas, el presente artículo pretende llevar a cabo un estudio crítico de las diferentes aportaciones rea-lizadas en los últimos años sobre la historia de la cultura impresa en el mundo aca-démico. A partir del análisis de diversos contextos geográficos e intelectuales, así como de las fuentes disponibles, se pretende concluir con la idea de una historia de la cultura de naturaleza cualitativa y en constante reelaboración.

    Considering the importance of historical thinking as a starting point , this article studies the various contributions that, in the past years, have taken place in the field of the history of printed culture within the academic world. From the analysis of diverse geographical and intellectual contexts, and of the information sources available, it can be concluded about the qualitative nature and constantly evolving character of the history of culture.
