  • We must differentiate between active substance and phytocomplexes. The former is a molecule that has a pharmacological activitie, instead the second is a biochemical compound of active substances that cannot be analyzed without destroying the unity. There are reports over toxicity of medicinal preparations. Soponins, ronunculosides, other heterosides (coumorine, cionogenetical, antrochinonics) tannin, essential oils, are among the most common toxic substances of vegetal origin. Is exposed also a classification of the different active substances of medicinal plonts.
