  • In order to demonstrate the Solanum tuberosum effect on gastric injury, 45 rats were used divided into four groups, two of them as blank and control, the third one (pattern) treated wilh ranitidine to close of 4,28 mg/kg/day during six days, and the problem group (Solanum tuberosum Var. renacimiento crude extract) subdivided into two groups treated with doses of 91, 28 and 182,56 mg/kg/day respectively during six days. The gastric injury was caused using the Mobility Restriction Method. The results obtained from macro and microscopic gastric mucous views were evaluated according to the regenerative response average. The statistical data were processed by Gosset Test. The Solanum tuberosum extract demonstrated a significant response to regenerate the gastric tissue, being the 182,56 mg/kg/day dose which had the major action and was closer to ranitidine efficacy. Both doses of Solanum tuberosum showed less regenerative effect than Ranitidine to dose of 4,28 mg/kg/day.
