  • Palludism is a major parasitic endemia, and about 1 miIlion of africans die from it every year. There are 4 types of infective plasmodia: Plasmodium vivax, P. falciparum, P. malarie and P. Ovale. These are intracellullar protozoa with an asexual phase (esquizogonic) in humans, and a sexute phase (esporogonic) in vectorial mosquitos, mainly Anopheles species. Homoeopathic treatment must be individualized following the patient's fever patterns. Typical fever pattern can be treated with China. Shivering is perhaps the differentiating pattern of Homoeopathic remedies.

    In palludic prevention can be useful Natrum sulphuricum D6, but must be remembered that basic homoeopathic treatment can strenghten our constitution in face to palludic exposition.
