  • Ethics comes from greek ethos, that means habit, or costume. Medical ethics are simply to make good for the patient. Medical-patient relationship has changed. lnitially there was a paternalism, after, it was pointed in the patient's authonomy from the physician, but today is centered specially in the whole or totality of human being. The purpose of bioethics is to vinculate ethics and medicine, making the later more human; to help people in the respect of their rights as patients, and to inform to the patient to restare his liberty and integrity.
