    El coyote recorre la literatura como un personaje que ama y odia, que se ama y que se odia, que ayuda y ofende, que agradece y traiciona, que se respeta y se teme, que es invencible y capaz de vencerse, que es el más astuto y, en el género del cuento, el más tonto. En los géneros literarios vemos reflejados los múltiples significados ambivalentes que posee el animal; a veces, según el género, predomina uno de los sentimientos opuestos y, a veces, conviven ambos
