  • Resumen
    • This second-year analytical chemistry laboratory exposes students to biosensors and the concepts of sensitivity, linear range, and dynamic range. The use of gold nanoparticles provides a method of peroxide (Part I) and glucose (Part II) sensing that can be monitored colorimetrically using either a single wavelength or scanning UV–vis spectrophotometer. Each part of the experiment can be conducted in triplicate within a three-hour laboratory period or both combined can be conducted within the three-hour period.
