The concept of organ differs in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) than in occidental Medicine.
In TCM the organ is known by its function, and is wider than a mere anatomic structure. There are two main groups of organs: The Yin (Liver, Hearth, Hearth master, Lung, Kidney, Spleen) , and the Yang ones (Gall bladder, Triple heater, Stomach, Intestines, Bowel, Bladder) . Their functions are closely interrelated.
