  • Resumen
    • The article discusses U.S. counterinsurgency strategy in Iraq. It references the articles "More Small Wars" by Max Boot and "Withdrawal Symptoms" by Rick Brennan, which appeared in the November/December 2014 issue. According to the author, counterinsurgency was not an appropriate strategy for the U.S. war in Iraq. It is suggested that U.S. forces were unable to build the local institutions needed to stabilize the Iraqi government, and that their efforts were costly to the U.S. and fed anti-American sentiment. Other topics include U.S. popular opinion and the Vietnam War.
