  • An interview is presented with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. When asked about divisions in Syria caused by civil war, he discusses the control of factions such as Jabhat al-Nusra and the unity of the population. When asked about the involvement of Iran in Syria, he talks about the difference between influence and cooperation. Other topics include human rights abuses, the U.S. military campaign against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) group, and torture in Syrian prisons.
