    • The article explores the history of race, racism, and culture from the nineteenth century to the twentieth century, taking into consideration aspects of biology and social construction as to the basis of race. Theories of several notable people are discussed including African American sociologist W. E. B Du Bois, German American anthropologist Franz Boas, and British biologist Sir Julian Huxley. Topics include the philosophy of other, comparative ideas of race and ethnicity, pan-Africanism, and the Holocaust.
