    La poesía de Mario Ortiz podría pensarse como una escritura crítica dentro de la poesía argentina de los 90, o al menos de su gesto objetivista y su gesto realista. El modo de la crítica es la imagen en tanto irrupción, advenimiento de la imaginación (imago, en el sentido que le da Didi-Huberman) que parte, en estos casos, de lo concreto, incluso de lo nimio. La fuerza de la imagen en tanto proceso en la poesía de Ortiz establece un movimiento que le devuelve a los objetos de uso su aura, a la vez que sostiene su definición materialista; un doblez en el que, además, se construye el relicario, la miniatura e incluso la colección. A la vez, puede leerse esta aparición de la imagen como migración y metamorfosis de los objetos tal como aparecen en los poemas más objetivistas y como revisión de sus colecciones

    Mario Ortiz’s poetry could be considered critical writing in the context of Argentine poetry from the 90s, or at least with relation to his objectivist and realist gestures. Criticism’s mode of operation is the image as an irruption, as an advent of imagination (imago, in the sense given to it by Didi-Huberman) which in this case departs from the concrete and even from the insignificant. The power of the image as process in Ortiz’s poetry establishes a movement whereby objects of use are given back their aura while keeping a materialist definition; a double condition in which, moreover, reliquary, miniature and even the collection are constructed. At the same time, the advent of the image can be read as the migration and metamorphosis of objects in the way that these appear in more objectivist poems and as a revision of his collections
