Resumen de Using Web-Based Resources To Incorporate LabVIEW into an Instrumental Analysis Course

Mark B. Jensen

  • LabVIEW is a graphical programming environment designed for data acquisition and analysis that continues to grow in popularity throughout chemistry in general and analytical chemistry in particular. In an effort to teach students the fundamental principles of programming and data acquisition, LabVIEW has been heavily integrated into the instrumental analysis course at Concordia College. Students learn to program through a LabVIEW tutorial consisting of ten increasingly complex programming assignments, culminating in a final programming project of the students’ own design. Several laboratory projects use LabVIEW virtual instruments (VIs) for data acquisition, and simulation VIs are regularly used in the lecture to illustrate fundamental instrumental principles.
