The essay discusses three panels painted by Italian Renaissance artist Jacopo del Sellaio depicting the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. Specific focus is given to an analysis of written and visual sources that could have influenced these paintings, such as "Metamorphoses" by Ovid or "Favola di Orfeo" by Angelo Poliziano. The possible influence of the Florentine Neoplatonists on the panels is analyzed.
