  • The article discusses a selection of drawings known as the "Lugt Group" associated with the 16th and 17th century Flemish artists Pieter Bruegel the Elder, Jan Breughel the Elder and Paul Bril. Particular focus is paid to the drawing "Mountainous Landscape with Exotic Animals" at the Fogg Museum in Cambridge, Massachusetts, which the author attributes to Bril after a work by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. The author explores the artistic relationship among the three artists, particularly in their development of the genre of the wooded landscape with depictions of animals.
