  • The article discusses the influence that French Rococo prints had on the design and decoration of eighteenth-century altarpieces in the churches of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The work of several prominent altarpiece makers is discussed including Isidro Lorea, whose workshop especially favored the designs of the French artist Alexis Peyrotte.
