    • The article discusses the early 17th-century painting "Denial of St. Peter," by Caravaggio, part of the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, and suggests that it was acquired by the artist Guido Reni in 1613. The author discusses Reni's agents Luca Ciamberlano and Alessandro Albini and describes a May 1613 document mentioning the painting by Caravaggio. The author describes competition between Caravaggio and Reni when they both worked in Rome from 1601-1606.
