  • The article discusses Scottish artist Eduardo Paolozzi's time spent in the U.S. in the 1950s. The author dscribes Paolozzi's cast metal sculptures made with wax casts, such as “Figure” and “St. Sebastian no.2,” and 1950s-1960s U.S. exhibitions of his sculptures. Topics addressed include Paolozzi's relationship with American art dealer Betty Parsons and the Betty Parsons Gallery, the role of America in his artwork before and after his trip to the U.S., and the Brutal style of his sculptures.
