  • The article offers information on the life and contributions of painter Jusepe de Ribera. It states that the first painting is Penitent St. Peter in a private collection, by descent from the Monaldi family. Moreover, it notes that the first trace of the canvass can be seen in the unpublished inventory of the Roman residence of Cardinal Benedetto Monald Baldeschi.
