  • The article focuses on the life and career of painter Giorgione, which was stated in a newly discovered document in the Archivio di Stato di Venezia. It states that the document provides his surname and his father's name as well as details of his family in Castelfranco and its social status. Moreover, it notes that in the document, he is named as Georgio, not Zorzi, its Venetian version.
