Este artículo resume un estudio que ha realizado el Departament d'Indústria, Comerç i Turisme de la Generalitat de Catalunya para identificar las empresas industriales catalanas que más han incrementado sus ventas entre 1994 y 1997 en condiciones de rentabilidad, así como estudiar sus características económicofinancieras y estratégicas. El trabajo muestra que en Cataluña hay 254 empresas que cumplen estos requisitos, que crean mucho empleo y que forman un colectivo, integrado principalmente por pymes de capital nacional, del que probablemente saldrán las futuras locomotoras industriales de Cataluña.
This article summarises a study carried out by the Department of Industry, Trade and Tourism of the Autonomous Government of Catalonia to identify the catalan industrial enterprises which have experienced the biggest increase in their sales between 1994 and 1997 in income-yield capacity conditions, as well as to study their economical, financial and strategic characteristics. This work shows that, in Catalonia, there are 254 enterprises that meet these requisites. They create lots of employment and form a collective integrated, mainly, by small and medium enterprises with a national capital, from which the future industrial engines of Catalonia will, probably, come out
