    La inmigración pakistaní en Madrid no es reciente, como la inmigración china, pero sí bastante desconocida. Se instaló en nuestra ciudad durante el “boom económico” de los años noventa. Su característica principal es su favorable grado de integración entre la sociedad madrileña y en los pueblos del área metropolitana. Bajo las directrices de la UE, por medio del Programa de Estocolmo, las políticas de integración de la inmigración señalan la pauta para conseguir un espacio de libertad, justicia y seguridad en Europa que, en definitiva, es el objetivo que buscan los inmigrantes que llegan a nuestro continente.

    Pakistani immigration in Madrid is not recent, as Chinese immigration, but it is largely unknown. They settled themselves in Madrid during the economic boom of the nineties. Its main feature is its high degree of integration in Madrid and its metropolitan area. Under the guidelines of the EU and in particular through the Stockholm Programme, the integration policies for immigrants show the pattern for the creation of a space of freedom, justice and security in Europe, which ultimately is the goal sought by the Pakistanis when they try to establish themselves in our continent
