Se analiza el acceso y participación de las mujeres en los medios informativos en México, con base en la intersección entre feminismo y economía política de la comunicación. Las hipótesis de este artículo establecen que el acceso y participación de las mujeres en las industrias informativas en México se identifican por una notable desigualdad de género, que se constituye como un problema estructural, que es mayor cuanto más elevado es el puesto y que la división sexual del trabajo es característica de los casos analizados.
Women's access to and participation in the news media in Mexico, focusing on the intersection between feminism and the political economy of communication, are analysed. The hypotheses in this article state that the access and participation of women in the information industries in Mexico are identified by a marked gender inequality, that is a structural problem, which is greater the higher the position, and that the sexual division of labour is a characteristic in the cases analysed.
