    The democratization process of school education in Venezuela and the achievement of the right to education were analyzed in this research since 1999. Thus, this study was carried out based on the literature review concerning the history and educational policies as well as documents of legal and official base and available data collection on online files and statistical sites. Considering the association among education, society and the State, the school as an institution integrates social relations in that are under transition in that Country. It is believed that essential advances in the educational democratization in all levels are closely associated to democratization of some relations that have been already established within Venezuelan society. It means that people, historically outside social goods, should have access to health, food, housing, leisure, work, people power, ultimately, to several dimensions of life, such as education.

    Analisamos o processo de democratização da educação escolar na Venezuela e a concretização do direito à educação, desde 1999. O estudo foi realizado por meio da revisão de literatura sobre a história e as Políticas Educacionais, dos documentos da base legal e oficial e da coleta de dados disponíveis em bancos on-line e sites estatísticos. Considerando a vinculação entre educação, sociedade e Estado, a instituição escolar integra as relações sociais em mudança naquele país. Entendemos que os avanços substanciais na democratização da educação escolar em todos o níveis está estreitamente vinculado à democratização das relações estabelecidas no interior da sociedade venezuelana, ou seja, que o povo historicamente à margem dos bens sociais tenha acesso à saúde, à alimentação, à habitação, ao lazer, ao trabalho, ao poder popular, enfim, as diversas dimensões da vida, como é o caso da educação.
