Resumen de Estudo das interações na percepção de segmentos fonéticos da língua inglesa

  This paper aims at verifying the influence of different types of interaction (student/video, student/text, student/teacher and student/student) on the perception of the English vowel contrasts [æ, ?] and [i, ?] by beginner Brazilian English learners. Those types are adapted from Ellis?s (1999) assumptions concerning interpersonal, intrapersonal and subject/content types of interaction. Pre and post tests are used in order to verify the effects of the four types of interaction, which indicate that student/video interaction seems to influence more positively the perception tests. Other results concerning the role of teachers and the relevance of new technologies integrated with pronunciation teaching and learning are also discussed.

  Este estudo buscou verificar os efeitos de tipos diferenciados de interação (aluno/texto, aluno/professor, aluno/aluno e aluno/vídeo) na percepção dos contrastes vocálicos do inglês [æ, ?] e [i, ?] por alunos brasileiros aprendizes de inglês. Tais tipos foram adaptados dos pressupostos de Ellis (1999) a respeito das interações interpessoal, intrapessoal e sujeito/objeto de aprendizagem. Para isso, propusemos a aplicação de pré e pós-testes relacionados aos contrastes vocálicos mencionados. A interação aluno/vídeo demonstrou efeitos imediatos mais representativos nos pós-testes. Resultados a respeito do papel do professor e da relevância da integração das novas tecnologias ao ensino e à aprendizagem de pronúncia foram também discutidos.
