  • Resumen
    • The writer considers the possible connections between the humanist and art theorist Leon Battista Alterti and the court of Federigo da Montefeltro in Urbino, Italy. Although there has been much speculation about Alberti's involvement in the construction of the Palazzo Ducale in Urbino, an analysis of the relevant sources reveals that there is not a single piece of reliable evidence to show that Alberti stayed in the city. There is also no written evidence to provide a concrete link between Alberti and Federigo. It is doubtful whether their relationship or friendship was as close as some have suggested.
