The writer attributes two portraits in London's National Gallery, traditionally attributed to the Master of Flémalle/Robert Campin, to Rogier van der Weyden, Campin's pupil, and suggests that the portraits may depict Van der Weyden and his wife. He also suggests that the traditional dating of the portraits is highly unlikely and that a date of around 1440–45 would be more appropriate.
