    Bringing together theology and theatre allows us to understand what constitutes, in Novarina’s work, the unity of a drama whose discourse is profoundly rhapsodic and whose completion is always mysterious. Taking as a guiding thread Novarina’s account of the open-air cathedral of theology, in particular the last page of Augustine’s De Trinitate, this study reveals the eschatological meaning of Novarinian theatre and the structural role that prayer plays in this work.

    Rapprocher théologie et théâtre permet de comprendre en quoi consiste chez Novarina l’unité d’un drame dont le discours est profondément rhapsodique et l’achèvement à chaque fois mystérieux. En prenant pour fil conducteur ce que Novarina dit de cette cathédrale à ciel ouvert qu’est la théologie et singulièrement de la dernière page du De Trinitate d’Augustin, cette étude fait apparaître le sens eschatologique du théâtre novarinien et le rôlestructurel qu’y joue la prière.
