    Las obras elegidas para restaurar y exhibir en la exposición permanente de los Museos de Melilla, han restablecido la deuda que tenía la ciudad con su patrimonio cultural. Estos documentos estaban fechados a partir del siglo XVIII, y su altísimo nivel de ejecución, tanto técnica como plástica, por parte de los ingenieros y arquitectos militares, ha demostrado que no sólo hicieron mapas geográficos, sino que también realizaron proyectos urbanísticos con propuestas renovadoras para el embellecimiento de la ciudad.

    The works chosen for displaying in the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Melilla, required their restoration due to the bad general condition in which they were. These documents were dated from the XVIII century, and they have a high level of execution, both technically and plastic, carried out by military engineers and architects. In this article all the techniques applied in the restoration of this important cartographic collection are explained.
