  • Resumen
    • Recently discovered archival sources provide a detailed insight into the art patronage of 15th-century Duke Federico da Montefeltro of Urbino, Italy. This study examines the duke's finances, incomes, and expenditures. Through the hitherto unknown inventory of his estate and that of his brother Ottaviano Ubaldini della Carta, it also highlights his possessions—real estate; tapestries, books, and silverware; and jewels. In addition, it considers the inventory of the estate of his daughter Agnesina Colonna da Montefeltro to explore the value of the favorite accessories in the “display culture” of the Renaissance.
