Relats protagonitzats pel Rector de Vallfogona en el Manuscrit de Sabater Carbonell

    L'article consta de dues parts. La primera descriu les característiques formals i, a grans trets, els continguts generals del manuscrit de Sabater Carbonell; i la segona, centrada en els relats protagonitzats pel Rector de Vallfogona, en presenta detalladament els continguts i les característiques singulars. De l’autor, en aquest estat de recerca, encara no se’n pot oferir més clarícies que les que es desprenen de l’anàlisi del manuscrit. El manuscrit està escrit amb cal·ligrafia clara en un volum imprès de comptes comercials de 600 pàgines numerades, 193 de les quals són en blanc, i set fulls desapareguts que contenien, segons l’índex d’autor, «Barcelona 1820 a 1840». Els materials tenen indicació, per bé que no sistemàtica, d’informants i d’any de registre (des del 1898 fins al 1923). Els materials que conté són miscel·lanis: etnopoètica religiosa diversa, parèmies, endevinalles, embarbussaments, fórmules mnemotècniques, mimologismes, jocs, cançons, tradicions, rondalles i llegendes, més algun material no etnopoètic. Els relats protagonitzats pel Rector de Vallfogona són d’extensió diversa i proporcionats almenys per quatre informants; dos no contenen ni any ni informant. L’objectiu de l'article és fer-ne l’edició i la classificació.

    This paper is divided into two parts. The first describes the formal characteristics and the general content of the manuscript of Sabater Carbonell; and the second presents in detail the content and singular characteristics of the stories featuring the Rector of Vallfogona. The current state of research does not allow us to offer any more details about the author other than those that can be gleaned from the manuscript. The manuscript was written in clear handwriting in a volume of 600 pages, 193 of which are left blank, and 7 of which are missing and which contain, according to the author’s index, “Barcelona 1820 to 1840”. The materials indicate, albeit unsystematically, the names of the people who provided the stories and the year of collection (from 1898 to 1923). The materials contained in the manuscript are miscellaneous and include various examples of religious ethnopoetry, proverbs, riddles, tongue-twisters, mnemonic formulas, mimologisms, games, songs, traditions, folktales and legends, and some non-ethnopoetic materials. The stories featuring the Rector of Vallfogona are diverse and provided by at least four informants, and a further two of these stories are listed with neither year nor informant. The aim of this paper is to publish these stories and to propose their classification.
