  • Resumen
    • The article discusses the activities of the Bohemian Baroque-era artist Peter Johannes Brandl (Petr Jan Brandl) in the town of Chiesch (Chyše), Czech Republic, in the early 18th century. The author provides information regarding Brandl's career before his arrival in Chiesch. He then describes the altarpiece and fresco paintings Brandl completed at the church of a local Carmelite monastery and Chiesch palace, which depict scenes from the history of the Carmelite order, such as the donation of the scapular to Simon Stock by the Virgin Mary and Jesus, and Biblical themes such as the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and the story of King David.
