• The aim of this paper is review the state of the question about multinationality- performance relationship. In the first part of the paper the conceptual basis about multinationality and performance are explained. In the second part the five models of the multinationality- performance relationship are described. In the third part is shown the empirical evidence about this phenomenon during the period 2003- 2013. In the last part some gaps of the literature are described.
