  • One can argue about the use of dictatorship of the proletariat as a slogan, but the substance of this idea is central to Marxist understanding: It is the correlate of a complete grasp of the nature of capitalist class power, exercised in the workplace, in the market, in nance, in the electoral arena, in schools, churches, communities and in the military, police, courts, prisons.
