Interrupción y subversión en el arte. Teorema de Pasolini como modelo

    Este artículo es una aproximación a la dimensión política del arte bajo las categorías de interrupción y subversión. Para ello analiza la dialéctica entre autonomización y mercantalización del arte en la cultura burguesa y su despliegue en la industria cultural dentro del marco del capitalismo fordista.

    En este contexto se pregunta por la posibilidad de reflexividad y por la capacidad crítica a partir de los intentos de las vanguardias históricas de cuestionar la autonomía del arte y de imprimirle un sello subversivo. Cuando todo el arte ha sido absorbido por la industria cultural, ¿quedan todavía posibilidades de interrupción y subversión en el arte? La película �Teorema� de Pasolini es leída como un relato no cerrado sobre esas posibilidades que podría ser actualizado.

    This paper approaches the political dimension of art focusing on the categories of interruption and subversion. It analyzes the dialectics between the autonomization and the commercialization of art within the bourgeois culture, as well as its later deployment in the culture industry in the frame of Fordism. Basing on the attempts of the avantgarde to question the very autonomy of art and to confere it a more subversive imprint, the main goal is to address whether art today can be reflective and preserve its critical potential. Assuming that all art has been absorbed by the culture industry, is it still possible to put forward practices of artistic interruption and subversion? In order to answer this question, the paper analyzes Pasolini�s Film Teorema, interpreting it as an unclosed narrative focusing on those possibilities of subversion and interruption. Pasolini�s film seems to open up interesting potentials that might still be updated.
