  • Resumen
    • Three Roman republican denari of the second half of the II B.C. (RRC 263/ 1; 264/ 1; 265/ 1) were object of restitution few decades after, at the beginning of the I B.C. (RRC 369/ 1; 370/ 1; 371/ 1). One of them, not casually signed by a personage of the gens Fabia that was very important in the conquest of Valentias region, shows the type - the cornucopia with thunderbolts - symbol of the bronze issues of that colony.

The events that originated the two groups of Roman denari could be the deduction of Valentias colony in 138 B.C. and her reconquest in 75 by Pompey during the war against Sertorius.
